Sea World's Leviathan Pre-Show | Cutting Edge

Introducing Leviathan, Australia's first wooden roller coaster in over 30 years, debuting in December 2022 - the crowning gem of Sea World's innovative $50 million zone, The New Atlantis.

Before embarking on the ride, visitors encounter Leviathan in an immersive pre-ride experience created by the Cutting Edge Sound Team and their VFX arm, Squeak, in collaboration with theme park experience experts Earthstory. Through eight LED screens resembling cave windows and a 360°, 41 channels surround sound system, riders find themselves submerged in an underwater cave ride station.

My work as a Compositor involved creating an underwater environment that seemed fantastic yet convincing, showing the city of Atlantis' magnitude along with its surrounding environment, while also allowing for the grandness of Leviathan to be felt by the audience.

This work was done in After Effects.
